At our Secondary School we offer an international syllabus administered and accredited by the University of Cambridge International Examinations. Students in Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 & 9) complete their Certificate of Confidence and Competence in ICT and are prepared for the Cambridge Checkpoint examination which is sat at the end of Year 9. They then go on to Key Stage 4 (Years 10 & 11) at the end of which they sit their I.G.C.S.E and GCE O-Level examinations.
Our facilities include large playing fields, a 25m swimming pool, a large multipurpose hall, an Art Centre, well-equipped science and food science laboratories, an excellent ICT lab and separate research ICT lab, a full-sized athletics track, tennis courts and hockey pitches. These provide our students with a variety of sporting options at which they can excel.
Boarding facilities are available, with en-suite rooms, a maximum of four students to a spacious room, hot and cold running water, separate blocks for boys and girls, supervised prep times and Commonrooms with television and DVD. The students are supervised by a resident Nurse/Matron and resident teachers, and they also have easy access to the ICT Centre, swimming pool and sports facilities.
Sports are very important to us, and our students compete in inter-school leagues and friendly fixtures, as well as inter-house competitions. Students develop different interests and skills by participating in various clubs such as the Model United Nations, the Christian Union, the Red Cross Club and Environmental and Journalism clubs. Local and international educational trips also serve to broaden their horizons and give them a more global outlook.
Students leaving St. Christopher's have many Post-School options available to them. Good grades in our examinations are internationally recognized, and students have proceeded to universities on every major continent, including in countries such as the UK and other EU countries, the USA, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Japan, Malaysia, Jamaica and Brazil.
